I don’t suppose you might have heard that we Minnesooootans got a bit of snow over the weekend.
17+ inches of the white and fluffy stuff.
Some even called it a blizzard.
Maybe it is my older age, but it didn’t impress me. I did live through and drive through the Halloween Blizzard of 1991. Now that was some epic snow.
I might feel differently if I had to actually be out in the snow, but from where I sat on Saturday, it wasn’t that bad.
Do you want to know why we got 17 inches this weekend and 6 inches a couple weeks ago?
Our snow blower broke.
And if your Monster Sized Snow blower is broken, you are guaranteed to get a foot or more of snow.
My Grand Plan was that Tyler and I would shovel tag-team style every hour so that it wouldn’t be so hard, but he laughed in my face.
He said that if he was already cold and snowy he was just going to handle it all.
So I made coffee cake and cinnamon rolls while cleaning the house, yet again, to get ready for a showing.
We ate, watched movies, played games and then it was time for bed.
We woke up to a nightmare of a driveway: Drifts 5’ high.
Tyler said it was time to call That Guy down the block.
You know That Guy don’t you?
That Guy has an ATV with a plow attached. Tyler has wanted to be That Guy for years.
He should wear a cape while he does everyone’s driveways. He is a Snow Hero.
Tyler needs to be a Snow Hero too.
Tyler needs an ATV with a plow and he needs it now.
Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday for the next 5 years, Babe.
We are looking on Craig’s List and it isn’t that bad when you think that it is the equivalent of 2 expensive Coach Handbags.
Now that doesn’t seem like so much, does it?
I can’t imagine how he must feel having to have That Guy come and do our driveway while he watches and then Tyler has to give him money.
If I couldn’t make dinner and some neighbor lady swooped in and made food for me and then I had to pay her? Well… I would just go crawl under the bed and die.
See? Everything happens for a reason. If that darn snow blower hadn’t broken and Tyler had pondered getting an ATV I would have laughed hysterically.
But it did break and now he finally gets his ATV.
Does anyone know how to break a computer so that it is unable to be repaired?
Those Apple iMacs sure are cool.
